7TH OGO YORUBA AWARDS (OYA) TO HOST ON THE MAINLAND WITH AFRICAN STYLE ANKARA CARNIVAL


Wale Adeoba Productions and the organizing committee have concluded that the seventh edition of Ogo Yoruba Award (OYA) 2019 considered by the industry watchers to be bigger and better traditional and stylish awards to beat and copy in this part of the world would take place on the Mainland, in Lagos Nigeria.

The Ogo Yoruba Awards popularly known as OYA which the sixth edition took place on the island, precisely Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island last year is still a talk of the town by hundreds of people and good cultural event attendees that witnessed the purely traditional event.

The epoch making back-to-back awards and event has gotten the nods of who-is-who in the arts and entertainment world and there has been a general poll that the seventh edition will take place on the mainland as the last edition successfully happened on the island in 2018.

Findings revealed that Ogo Yoruba Awards on a very good note has become a global brand embraced by many all around the world. And, the seventh edition, which promised to be a night of fun, drama, cultural dance with notable indigenous artistes/musicians performing live will be remarkable and memorable.

For glitz and glamour, the organizers also have in plan to make it a colourful African style evening event where all guests are to adorn special Ankara costumes mainly for the 7th Ogo Yoruba Awards ceremony.

According to Wale Adeoba, the founder of Ogo Yoruba Awards, he disclosed that more details on the forthcoming OYA awards 2019 regarding the date, venue and the likely A-list performing artistes/musician will be officially unveiled soon.
