In
the spirit of Love, Helen R Osaseyi Aid Foundation has shown love to
over a hundred widows in bankpor Irruan village, an agrarian community
in Boki Local Government in Cross River state.
Speaking
through her media representatives, True Vine Medi, the foundation said
the move was purely a show of love to humanity, in her words , through
the foundation coordinator , Ms Susan Atsu, CEO of the foundation, Mrs.
Helen Osaseyi said widows are God’s own and they deserve to be cared
for , and if you go through the Bible you will see were we are
instructed to plead for widow.
Secondly,
“before my loving mother passed on she was a widow briefly, that is why
this foundation is reaching out in our little way to provide them with
rice and spices since food is essential to human’s survival”,she
enthused.
The foundation which has been in
existence since 2021 has been keeping most of it’s activities on a low
and operating under it’s parent foundation The Osaseyi Foundation.
Why then did they decide to go public with this recent event ?
We
inquired of the CEO who had this to say, ‘I know the Bible says what
the right hand does the left hand should not know, but we have people
who will not come out to help until they see someone else doing so,
hence our decision to come out with this event so we can encourage
others to help. Look, noon of us can feed everybody but we can at least
feed some body, that is the essence of going public to encourage
everyone to show love to somebody’ the striking beauty concluded.
The
foundation has interest in the less privileged by assisting with food,
school fees , healthcare and general well-being of the needy.
